Executive Board Chairperson
The Concern Foundation has been a big part of my life since 1983. My husband Bob and I served as co-chairs of the Executive Board from 2008 – 2012 and today I am proud to be the Executive Board Chair on my own.
When Bob and I first got involved with Concern I immediately became one of the members of the very first silent auction committee when the Block Party was on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. The Concern members were welcoming and Bob and I knew that this was an organization that we wanted become more actively involved with so we became members immediately. I enjoyed working on the Block Party every year and got even more involved by helping to secure restaurants and dessert caterers for the event. I served as chair of the first Concern Women’s Appetizers Cookbook and cooking event which were both highly successful fund and friend raisers for the organization. My involvement with Concern continued to grow and both Bob and I have taken on various rolls with the organization as Executive Board members throughout the years.
Outside of Concern, I have been a teacher at First Step Nursery School for the past 29 years, which too has been one of the joys of my life and these children have become my second family. Bob and I share three children and two grandchildren which all live on the East Coast.
I am looking forward to working with the Executive Board members and our office staff to continue to elevate Concern’s importance in the cancer research community.
